NDE Trains 50 School Leavers In Kebbi

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Kebbi State has commenced  training of 50 unemployed school leavers on “Quick fix demand driven” and techno cultural craft skills.

Speaking while declaring the training open yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the director general of NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, said the combined trainings, quick fix and techno cultural craft were introduced by the directorate to assist youths to acquire marketable skills within a short period.

Fikpo, who was represented by the state coordinator of NDE, Mr. Francis Amos Ambionto, said the 50 trainees would be engaged in quick fix demand driven skills of make-up, bead making and saloon and  another sets as well as techno cultural skills on mats, bed and hart making.

Ambionto commended the director general for initiating such programs which according to him would reduce the current mass unemployment, poverty and create wealth through self-employment.

He noted that all the trainees and trainers would be paid allowances by the headquarters of the NDE during or after the training through their bank accounts and charged the participants to concentrate on what they would be taught in order to get the expected result at the end of the training.
