Managing director of the commission, who Mohammed Alkali, spoke at the weekend in Madagali after inspecting a dilapidated bridge on the highway passing through the town which the commission had undertaken to reconstruct,

said, “We will step up work to fix the bridge because we can’t allow communities to be cut off.”

He stressed that priority would be on completing ongoing projects.

“Part of the intention of the inspection we are doing in not only Adamawa but also the other states in the North East is to evaluate work that still needs to be done and we will be working earnestly henceforth on all ongoing projects,” he assured.
