The Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC ) has called on exporters in Nasarawa state to take advantage of its office in Lafia to export their non- oil products to global market.
Trade promotion advisor, Haj. Amina Abdullahi Tumba made the call at a one day clinic for newly and potential exporters in Lafia.
She said prospective exporters will be guided on how best to package their products to be acceptable by buyers internationally.
Hajiya Amina Tumba noted that Nasarawa state has various non-oil products that has higher demand in foreign countries, hence the need for citizens of the state to cued into export businesses to improve their economic prospects.
The trade promotion advisor called on the state government to make the environment friendly for exporters to showcase non-oil goods available in the state.
In a paper presentation, state commissioner for trade, Industry and Investment, Alhaji Salihu Ali Enah assured exporters in the state of government readiness to assist them to add value to their businesses.
Represented by the the ministry’s permanent secretary, Rilwanu Al- Quasim Ibrahim thanked NEPC for engages prospective exporters in the state on awareness creation that will promote non- oil export from the state.
Some of participants at the Clinic expressed satisfaction with the NEPC for organising the programme which they will leverage on.
