NESREA Bags Public Service Award For Environmental Tech

National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, (NESREA) will be honoured with the best Federal MDA in the use of Environmental Sustainable Technology Implementation in the country.

Assistant Director, Press, NESREA, Mrs Amaka Ejiofor, disclosed this in a yesterday in Abuja.

Ejiofor said that the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Dr Dasuki Arabi , announced the prestigious Nigeria GovTech Award, in a letter ref. BPSR/ICT.20/1/139 to NESREA.

“The Director- General of BPSR, Dr Dasuki Arabi, also revealed the nomination of the Director General of NESREA, Prof. Aliyu Jauro, for the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer’s Award for exemplary leadership,” she said.

Ejiofor said Arabi, in the letter disclosed that the major criteria for the distinguished GovTech Trailblazer’s award was the advancement of GovTech initiatives and digital governance.

Arabi said it was in line with the Federal Government’s digital transformation in the public sector.

He said the awards which would be presented in October , followed a “nationwide nomination and online voting process initiated on radio, television and publications, and  Punch Newspaper of Sept. 4. (NAN)
