Nestlé Leadership Visits News Central On Media Collaboration

The leadership of Nestlé Plc visited News Central on Friday, reinforcing its commitment to responsible communication, informed public discourse and strategic collaboration between the media and corporate sectors.

The visit began with a tour of News Central’s Lagos headquarters, followed by a live interview on Breakfast Central with Christina Macina, head of Communications for Nestlé Zone Asia, Oceania & Africa. The Nestlé’s delegation was received by News Central management.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both organisations to discuss the evolving media landscape, the role of credible journalism in nation-building, and partnerships promoting transparency, sustainability, and public trust.

During discussions, News Central management commended Nestlé’s reputation for innovation and corporate responsibility. Topics covered included storytelling on nutrition, sustainability, economic development, and corporate initiatives that resonate with Nigerian audiences.

Macina and other Nestlé representatives emphasised the media’s power to shape perceptions, drive positive change, and amplify important conversations. They reiterated the company’s openness to engagement with credible media institutions such as News Central.

Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan, News Central’s Director of Commercial and Communications, welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the station’s commitment to truthful reporting while supporting reputable businesses that contribute to societal development.
