Newly-appointed acting managing director of the Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation, Hajiya Uwani Garba Dagauda, has assured residents of her commitment to providing safe and reliable water services to them.
She gave the assurance during a reception organised by staff of the corporation, including directors, managers and heads of units, who gathered to welcome her and reaffirm their support for her leadership.
While speaking, Hajiya Dagauda expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to foster teamwork and collaboration in order to strengthen water supply services.
“Together, we can overcome challenges and ensure that our community has access to safe and reliable water services,” she said.
She further emphasised her resolve to create an inclusive and supportive work environment where every staff member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the corporation’s mission.
According to a statement by the corporation’s public relations officer, Comrade Umar Adamu Jibrin yesterday, the management and staff have pledged their full support to the new acting managing director.
The statement noted that the presence of key personnel at the reception underscored the collective readiness of the team to back Hajiya Uwani in delivering on the corporation’s mandate.
The staff also expressed confidence in her ability to lead, citing her expertise in geology and her steady rise through the ranks of the corporation as assets that will bring fresh insights into the management of water resources and infrastructure development.
The Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation expressed optimism that her tenure will record meaningful achievements in service delivery and infrastructure improvement.
