In line with the determination to inculcate the wealth creation agenda in Kogi State , a  new group, Braimoh Associates has emerged to advance the noble cause for the rapid development of the state.

The membership of the group cut across all strata of the society in the three senatorial districts of the state; West, Central, and East.

The spokesperson of the group, Mr Musa Yakubu in a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja stated  that the wealth creation agenda is one of the cardinal programmes of the former Action Alliance candidate, Olayinka Braimoh who contested the  governorship election in 2023 in Kogi State.

Yakubu explained that Kogi State has no reason to be poor, adding that the state is rich in mineral resources and there is urgent  need to sensitise youths and women to turn the state to the hub of wealth creation.

According to him, the group, known as Braimoh Associates, comprises individuals who represent  different communities, associations, and interest groups across Kogi State.

He pointed out that the group’s aims and objectives are basically to promote the generation, equitable distribution, and retention of wealth within the state.

“This vision is designed to ensure that through the deliberate efforts of  Olayinka Braimoh business development, training and sustainable empowerment initiatives are implemented throughout the state, beginning in Kogi West.

“During the more than one hundred town hall meetings held with Kogi residents during the gubernatorial campaigns in 2023, Braimoh highlighted that Kogi State is richly endowed with natural resources, yet the citizens are struggling amidst abundance due to a lack of visionary leadership.

“This mission is to address this issue by fostering wealth through the STAT Agenda (Solid Minerals, Tourism, Agriculture, and Trade). While this could  ideally be  accomplished through executive authority.

“But that  notwithstanding, Braimoh, who has not worked in public office before, will from the first quarters of this year start to lay the groundwork for this agenda by empowering his loyalists, community, local government area, federal constituency, senatorial district, and the state as a whole.

“This will be complemented by comprehensive training on the scalability and sustainability of the wealth created.

“While congratulating all members of Braimoh Associates, supporters, party affiliates and the citizens of the state, it is imperative to recognize the difference between being given fish and being taught how to fish.

“Braimoh aims to educate us on how to fish through the STAT Agenda, and this can only be fully realized if we all extend the necessary supports,” the spokesperson noted.
