From a brutal boarding school to the treacherous world of politics, crime, and secret societies, Aza’s rise to power is as compelling as it is chilling.

“Set in contemporary Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Impunity follows Aza, a 14-year-old who finds themselves entangled in a dangerous web of injustice.

As they navigate a world where the powerful act without consequences, they must decide whether to fight back or be consumed by a system that thrives on fear.

“Premise: The novel explores the dark realities of power and corruption through the life of Aza Kio Briggs, a boy who is introduced to impunity in a Nigerian boarding school and grows into one of the most dangerous men in the country.

“As he rises in the world of crime, politics, and the occult, his sins multiply—until fate deals him a cruel twist. Through Aza’s arc, the novel unpacks how a broken system breeds broken people, and how the consequences of unchecked power ripple across generations,” a statement by the author read.
