A new Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, yesterday assumed duty in Adamawa State.
Hassan, the 33rd Commissioner of Police in the state, has vast experience in operations, investigations, administration and training, acquired over decades of distinguished service in the Nigeria Police Force.
The new Commissioner of Police was born on August 15, 1967, and hails from Katagum local government area of Bauchi State.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Degree in History from the University of Maiduguri (1992).
He was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in 1996.
CP Hassan has attended several professional courses including the Defence College (2023), Advanced Detective Course, Junior Command Course, Intermediate Command Course, and Tactical Leadership Course at the Police Staff College, Jos.
