The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has commiserated with Kogi State governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, who died on August 19, 2025, at the age of 83.

In a condolence message signed by NGF chairman and governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Forum described the late Alhaji Momohsani as a respected community leader, father, uncle, and grandfather who dedicated his life to the service of his community.

“His leadership and dedication to the peace and stability of his domain will be deeply missed. Alhaji Momohsani lived a fulfilled life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity,” the statement read.

The NGF noted that his passing was not only a personal loss to Governor Ododo and his family but also to the people of Kogi State, who benefitted from his wisdom and guidance.

The Forum extended heartfelt condolences to the governor and the people of the state, praying that Almighty God grants the family the strength to bear the irreparable loss and grants the departed eternal rest.
