A non-governmental organization, Global Green Pillar Initiative (GGPI) has begun the distribution of over 10,000 notebooks in the 21 local government areas of Kogi State.
The event will be a one- week activity to celebrate the achievements of Governor Ahmed Ododo’s one year in office.
The group, in its efforts is to compliment the efforts of the state government in improving educational standard, said it was committed to providing relief materials for parents in view of the current economic challenges in the country.
The beneficiaries included LGEA Secondary School Upgoro, LGEA Secondary School, Agasa Ahache, Government Girls Secondary School. Otutu, Okene and Okenge Community Secondary School Arigo).
Others are Government Science Secondary School Ogaminana.
Egbira Community Secondary School Ogaminana, Adavi Community Secondary School, Adavi-Eba, Okehi Community Secondary School Oboroke Ihima, Ihima Community Secondary School Ihima, Okehi and Okehi Community Science Secondary School Eika.
The list includes Ogori Magongo: Community Comprehensive Secondary School Ogori,
Magongo Secondary School Magongo, ASCO Staff Comprehensive Secondary School 1, Ajaokuta, ASCO Staff Comprehensive Secondary School 2, Ajaokuta and Government Science Secondary School,Adogo.
GYB Model Secondary School Adankolo, Government Science Secondary School Zone 8, Government Girls Secondary School Sarkin Numa, Bishop Dellis Secondary School Lokoja, Abubakar Abdulmajid Government Science Secondary School Koton Karfe, Local Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Okebukun High School (GYB Model Science School Okebukun-Bunu) and Baptist High School Ekinrin Adde, Oluyori Muslim Comprehensive High School,Isanlu, Community High School Odo-Ere, Government Day Secondary School Igbaruku Oke-Eri, Community Secondary Schoo! Ejule, Our Lady’s of School Anyigba, ST. Charles College Ankpa are among the benefiting schools.
According to the organisers, the distribution of the books began in Kogi West since January 23, 2025.
