A non-governmental organisation (NGO), ACE-MINT HUB, has expressed its determination to ensure that Akwa Ibom continues to maintain its status as the cleanest state in the country.
The company, committed to a friendly environment through sustainable cleaning services, made the resolution at its inaugural parley, tagged “Cleaners’ Meet and Greet” event, which brought together industry professionals, stakeholders and enthusiasts to promote excellence in the cleaning and environmental services sector.
The event, held on Saturday, in Uyo, was meant to aggregate ideas on the way forward for the industry through innovations in line with international best practices.
Addressing the forum, the convener, Engr Ekemini Brown Usen, explained that “the event aimed to recognise the invaluable contributions of cleaners to public health and environmental hygiene, while providing a platform for industry professionals to share best practices, build capacity, and network.
“The Meet and Greet is seeking to strengthen the cleaning community and promote excellence in the industry,” he stressed.
The event featured discussions on workplace professionalism, emerging opportunities and the growing importance of environmental services in Akwa Ibom State’s development, with notable resource persons, including a renowned author and public speaker, Aniekeme Finbarr, and a fashion entrepreneur, Aniekan Akpe, who inspired the audience with their insights and experiences.
