The passage of the bill at plenary  yesterday was sequel to the adoption of the Standing Committee on Education report presented by its Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Sani Idris  representing Tafa constituency.

The chairman while presenting  his report to the House said the recommendation aligned  with national standards to help retain experienced academic staff and improve quality of education.

Similarly  the House passed  the Niger State Diaspora Agency Bill, following the presentation of the House Standing Committee report on Women Affairs, Humanitarian and Disaster Management chaired by the Deputy Speaker Hon. Afiniki Eunice Dauda,.

She said it marked  a major milestone in the state’s efforts to engage with its diaspora community and facilitate strategic investments, cultural exchange, trade, and collaborative development projects for economic growth and development.

Meanwhile the House resolved to summon the Commissioner and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works to explain their failure to implement earlier directives on road safety measures.

This is based on a report  presented by the House Standing Committee  on Works and Infrastructure chaired by Hon. Arc. Abubakar Suleiman Gomna (Bosso).
