Deputy governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has been given the title of Gwarzon Bosso in Bosso local government area of Niger State, where he called for community development efforts.
He was conferred with the new title during the Annual Bosso Day celebration showcasing the culture and heritage of Bosso people held at the Palace of the district head of Bosso, at the weekend.
While giving the deputy governor the title the district head of Bosso, Malam Mu’azu Laka Bosso, said the deputy governor is a supporter of culture and tradition in the area.
He said one of the qualities of the deputy governor that attracted the honour is his respect for traditional leadership and show of political sportsmanship always.
He said the deputy governor had proven his integrity as a Gbagyi man and associated with Bosso as his other home.
In his response, the deputy governor thanked the district head for the honour done to him and lauded the achievements attained by the area as part of Minna Emirate.
He therefore called on all sons and daughters of the district and Minna Emirate to pull resources for development and key into Muhammad Umar Bago’s administration for the dividends of democracy.
