Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has inaugurated a 5 km township road in Sarkin-Power, Munya local government area and performed the groundbreaking of a 40 km Mararaban Dandaudu-Gwada-Kuta-Rafinkuka-Zumba single carriageway.
LEADERSHIP reported that the 5 km road is among the 556 km of road construction started by the Bago-led administration.
The governor, who spoke at the inauguration, explained that the commencement and completion of the project are testaments to his administration’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural development in the state.
He assured the people of Munya that more dividends of democracy will be delivered to them while calling on them to come out en mass to vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the State Assembly by-election this Saturday.
Similarly, the governor performed the groundbreaking of a 40-km Mararaban Dandaudu-Gwada-Kuta-Rafinkuka-Zumba single carriageway.
The groundbreaking ceremony was performed at the Mararaban Dandaudu, which is part of the Munya local government area road project, which spans the Munya and Shiroro local government areas.
At the ground-breaking, the governor expressed delight with the project, noting that it would not only ease movements but also reduce travel time for the people of the two local government areas.
He reiterated his administration’s determination to the rapid development of the state under the New Niger agenda while disclosing that the road project will be executed by the same contractor that handled the 5 km township road of Munya local government area.
