A member-elect of the House of Representatives, Mr Joshua Gana, for Lavun, Mokwa and Edati federal constituency, has pledged to bring speedy development to the constituency when sworn in.

Joshua, son of the former minister of information, Prof. Jerry Gana, made the promise when he visited the primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion in Abuja, Dr Henry Ndukuba.

He said the provision of quality representation would bring speedy development to the constituency and also promote peace and improve the standard of living of his constituents.

The member-elect said the visit was to present his certificate of return to the primate and seek for his blessings and prayers to succeed.

“By God’s grace, as a member representing Lavun, Mokwa and Edati Federal Constituency, I hope to bring, as the word of God said in Joshua, their inheritance in their land.

“It is my duty as their representative to bring everythin g that is for them in the country.

“I will ensure quality, sound and effective representation at the House of Representatives, to change the lives of my people positively,” he said.

Gana promised not to disappoint the people of his constituency and others while performing his legislative duties.

He called on all and sundry to support him to succeed.

Responding, Ndukuba appreciated Gana and his entourage for the visit.

He congratulated Gana on his “well deserved” victory at the poll and prayed to God to protect, guide and bless him abundantly.

“Your victory gave us joy and hope and it shows that diligence, faithfulness and hard work pays; above all, your regard for ordinary citizens,” the cleric said.

He urged Gana to be a good ambassador of the church, his constituency and the country at large.
