Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, who represents Niger North senatorial district, has donated ₦10 million to support victims of the recent disaster caused by a rainstorm in Zugurma, Mashegu local government area of Niger state.
LEADERSHIP reported that rainstorm has recently destroyed properties at Zurgurma a sub urban settlement of Mashegu local government area of Niger north rendering families homeless
In response, the senator donated N10 million through a delegation of the senior special assistant to the senator, Alhaji Ali Qira, legislative aide I, Comrade Mohammed Sani Yahya , and personal assistant to the senator, Bashir Agogo.
The team presented ₦10 million cash to the Hakimin Zugurma, Alhaji Mohammed Usman Baiwa, in the presence of the chairman of Mashegu local government council, Alhaji Umar Jibrin Igade.
The senator described the rainstorm as a deeply unfortunate event and emphasised his resolve to continue to support communities faced with various challenges across Niger North.
In his response, Hakimin Zugurma, Alhaji Mohammed Usman Baiwa appreciated the senator’s intervention and compassion. He lauded the senator’s efforts in bringing relief, palliatives, and meaningful development to the people at the grassroots.
