Nigeria At 64: Gov Buni Calls For Support, Prayer To Overcome Challenges

Yobe State governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has urged Nigerians to support, cooperate and pray for the leadership of the country to succeed.

Governor Buni made the call on Tuesday October 1, 2024 on the celebration of Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary.

He stressed that the challenges facing the country for long, calls for sacrifice, perseverance and commitment for Nigeria to regain its glory.

According to him, the challenges of insecurity, economy decline, climatic and environmental factors all require strategic and meticulous interventions.

Governor Buni charged traditional, religious, and opinion leaders to preach peace, tolerance and cooperation to promote unity among Nigerians.

He added that, “We should explore our diversity to promote national unity, and we must not misuse our cultural, ethnic and religious differences to the detriment of our national unity,” Governor Buni said.
