The Roxettes Group has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s recently unveiled ‘Nigeria First’ policy as a bold and strategic move capable of igniting a new era of industrial revival and economic self-reliance across the country.

The policy, which mandates all Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to prioritize Nigerian-made goods, services, and innovations in public procurement, was announced by President Tinubu on May 5, 2025.

The directive has been hailed by stakeholders as a significant intervention aimed at boosting local capacity, reducing dependence on imports, and promoting inclusive industrialisation.

The group chairman and CEO of The Roxettes Group, Dr. Kaycee Orji, described the policy as “a powerful validation of Nigeria’s domestic capabilities and entrepreneurial excellence.”

“President Tinubu’s visionary enactment of the ‘Nigeria First’ policy rekindles national confidence in what we can achieve as a people,” Orji said.

“It is a call to action for all producers, innovators, and industries to rise to the task of nation-building through quality, integrity, and scale. We fully support this directive and are proud to stand with Nigeria at this pivotal moment.”

The Roxettes Group, a proudly indigenous conglomerate with active interests spanning automotive manufacturing, energy, fintech, chemicals, infrastructure, and consumer products, reiterated its commitment to advancing national industrial goals in line with the new directive.

According to Orji, the policy sets the tone for deeper public-private collaboration and signals to the international community that Nigeria is ready to harness its internal strengths to drive sustainable development.

“We look forward to partnering with government agencies, private sector leaders, and development institutions to ensure the full realisation of the Nigeria First Policy objectives,” he said.

The Roxettes Group urged other indigenous firms to align with the spirit of the policy by scaling local content, embracing innovation, and contributing to national economic transformation.
