Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) also known as Christ Universal Spiritual School of Practical Christianity (CUSSPC) has said only the peace of God will heal Nigerians from the catastrophes of flood, electoral violence and bad government policies.

The BCS deputy spokesman, Archbishop Emmanuel Ekuri, stated this at a press conference in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, where he announced the commencement of a campaign aimed at informing people of the teachings of their Supreme Leader, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu.

According to Ekuri, Nigerians also need to seek divine help from God to survive the hardship associated with the current hike in petrol pump price.

Ekuri noted that violence, generally, has become the order of the day in elections not only in Bayelsa but across Nigeria, adding that if Bayelsans embrace the gospel of Olumba as their source to peace, the forthcoming November 11th, 2023 election will be peaceful.

He said, “We are not only looking at violence, there are lots of other natural and man made catastrophes that are making life unbearable for mankind. One of the essence of this conference is to reveal the deity of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu as the prince of peace.

“When you go out there in the world, you hear things like peace building. Men have been holding conferences, some hold summits, communities come together just to build peace. And yet the efforts fail.

“This is the cause. Peace is a virtue that man cannot create. There is a signal entity in human being that the bible described as the prince of peace and he is the custodian. He inherited peace from his father as a property. We are telling you that He is now on earth.

“This same personality came as our Lord Jesus Christ and when he spoke with his disciples he always said, “My peace I give to you, not as the world giveth”. Each time he talked about peace, he talked about peace as if it emanated from Him.

“That personality who is the sole custodian of peace is here now on earth. If Bayelsans through this message, embrace the gospel and come to him, they will have lasting peace because he is the only source to peace in the entire universe.”

Meanwhile, the Apple Edition of the Feast of Gratitude was a week-long activity holding in Ogbia Local Government Area of the State which started from Monday June 5 to Saturday June 10, 2023 to show gratitude to God for all He has been doing for mankind.

Highlighting some of the activities with the theme: “It takes only God to be God”, the BCS Bayelsa state admin, Mr Roland Omangi said that it started on Monday with a general fasting and was officially flagged off on Tuesday with evangelism.

He said, “this edition named Apple Edition is taking place in Ogbia local government. It is our sincere belief that this great event will be done annually across the eight Local Government Areas of Bayelsa State.
