Nigeria Ranks Fourth In AFCON 2023 Ticket Purchase

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that Nigeria ranks fourth in the number of tickets purchased for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

CAF, made the announcement on its official X account. “Ticket sales for Nigeria are among the top five on the continent,” the message read.

Host nation, Ivory Coast, leads the ticket sales, having sold 32,307 tickets. It is followed by Guinea-Bissau with 28,614 tickets purchased, and Equatorial Guinea, which has bought 16,237 tickets.

Nigeria comes fourth, with 12,544 tickets bought. Senegal, the current champions, is fifth with 10,959 tickets sold. The top five countries in terms of ticket purchases, all hail from West Africa.
