Nigeria is poised to host a cultural extravaganza on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on September 24.
Titled, “Destination 2030 Nigeria: Nigeria Everywhere,” organised by the Ministry of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, in collaboration with the National Council of Arts and Culture (NCAC), African International Film Festival (AFRIFF) and supported by the Africa Export-Import (AfriExim) Bank, it aims to showcase Nigerian cultures and creative artistes on the global stage.
The event will include an evening of cultural conversations, live performances by talented Nigerian artists, and a fashion show highlighting designs by renowned Nigerian designers. Attendees will taste Nigerian cuisines whipped up by top Nigerian chefs and art exhibitions showcasing brilliant works by contemporary Nigerian artists.
“This is not just an event but a celebration of Nigeria’s creative spirit and cultural heritage. It is a unique opportunity to highlight Nigeria’s creative talents on a global stage, foster international collaborations, and promote the growth of Nigeria’s creative economy,” said the minister of art, culture and creative economy, Hannatu Musawa.
