This was contained in a press statement signed by NSC director of press, Mrs Kehinde Ajayi, which was released to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday morning.

The newly formed committee, which consisted an impressive array of sports administrators and experienced professionals, selected from both the sports sector and the corporate world, is headed by Chief Solomon Ogba, the First Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), as chairman.

This diverse group is expected to bring a wealth of expertise to the table, ensuring the conference is a resounding success.

Chairman of the NSC, Mallam Shehu Dikko, highlighted the careful selection process for the committee members. “The members of the Committee were meticulously selected because of their professionalism and tested qualities,” he stated. “I have no doubt that they will all bring their wealth of experience to bear to ensure we stage a befitting Road Running conference which will be the first of its kind in the country.”
