The deputy spokesman, Hon. Philip Agbese, said the present House is fully committed to a better and prosperous Nigeria.

Agbese gave the assurance when he spoke with journalists at a reception organised in honour of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, in Abuja at the weekend.

The member representing Ado/ Okpokwu/ Ogbadibo Federal Constituency said the House leadership under Speaker Tajudeen Abbas had already set the ball rolling towards achieving an ideal nation.

Agbese said the major agenda of the House was to run an open parliament focused on transparency and accountability.

He stated that the House was focused on actualising its promise to Nigerians individually and collectively as a parliament.

Agbese noted that for this reason, the leadership had set a pro-citizen agenda aimed to improve the welfare of Nigerians.

He added that the 10th House was looking at several ways to enhance legislation and bring governance closer to the people through the use of technology and regular town hall meetings.
