General overseer Daniel Olukoya and members of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries will on Friday begin the celebration of the church 35th anniversary.

Ahead of the event, both the leadership and members of the church have reflected on its impact on the global community and individual lives.

They restated their commitment to continue to intercede for Nigeria and other countries of the world and advancement of God’s kingdom on earth.

Olukoya said the 35th anniversary thanksgiving and convention will hold from Friday, August 16 to- Sunday, August 18, 2024, with the theme: “Power from on High.”

The programme will be held at the MFM Prayer City, Kilometre 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.

The general overseer said the anniversary will undoubtedly have a significant positive impact on Nigeria because of the prayers that would be offered for the country.

He said, “You will see that many things will happen after this event. Speaking of our country, there will be peace and stability, and our economy will be able to develop.”

He recalled how the church has postively impacted on lives all over the world through its salvation messages, deliverance prayers, yoke breaking programmes and had also empowered lives through its several Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) such as scholarships programmes , food gifting, men, women and youth empowerment.

“We also offer scholarships, particularly to first-class students and have completed numerous road constructions. We have provided palliatives to the people, along with other forms of empowerment.

“Apart from the spiritual impacts the ministry has made in different areas, the vision the Lord gave me extends beyond teaching people how to pray and fast. It also encompasses guiding individuals to become responsible citizens, both to themselves and to the world at large,” he said.

Olukoya received the vision for the church from God 35 years ago and today the whole world is a witness to numerous manifestations of God’s power over the past three decades.

The eminent cleric said all these call for a celebration for the church and its members all over the world to show appreciation to God and to pray for God’s continuous blessings going forward.

The MFM began in 1989 with a prayer meeting of 24 people held in Olukoya’s living room while he was working at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research in Yaba.
