The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of applications for its 91 Regular Recruits Intake (91RRI) for both tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women.

In a statement shared on its official X handle on Sunday, the Army disclosed that free online registration will begin on March 30, 2026, and end on May 17, 2026.

Prospective applicants have been urged to submit their applications through the official recruitment portal.

According to the Army, the recruitment drive, which follows the successful completion of the 90RRI exercise in 2025, is aimed at enlisting qualified individuals to bolster its workforce.

Successful candidates will undergo intensive training and, upon completion, will benefit from a defined career structure, pension plan, and opportunities for social integration.

Highlighting the requirements, the Army stated that applicants must “be Nigerian citizens by birth. For non-tradesmen/women, age is between 18 and 22 years, while age for tradesmen/women is between 17 and 25 years.”

It further noted that candidates must meet the minimum height criteria of 1.68 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.

“Possess valid means of identification, including the National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN), to curb fraud and ensure transparency.

“Meet educational qualifications, with emphasis on a Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent.”

The Army reiterated that the application process is completely free of charge and cautioned applicants to be wary of fraudsters seeking payment for forms or assistance.
