Slavia Prague defender Igoh Ogbu has refuted claims linking him with a move away from the club. The centre-back played a crucial role in Slavia Prague’s Czech Super League title win last season and has gained international recognition, earning his first call-up for the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
The 25-year-old made his international debut against Ghana’s Black Stars in May. He signed a contract extension with Slavia Prague last December, and despite having two years left on his contract, the player has been persistently linked with a transfer to other clubs.
Ogbu emphasised his commitment to Slavia Prague, stating, “I recently signed a new contract with Slavia Prague, which runs until 2027. For me, the future is now and it has already begun. My focus is fully on performing in the league and the Champions League. After that, we’ll see what the future holds.”
Ogbu joined Slavia Prague from Norwegian outfit Lillestrøm in 2023.
