A Nigerian relationship podcast, “Love and Life Matters”, has topped Apple Podcasts’ relationship chart in Cape Verde barely one month after its debut.
It emerged as the country’s No. 1 show in the category, according to Podchaser rankings.
Podchaser, a global platform that tracks real-time popularity across major podcast directories, also places the show at No. 12 in Bhutan—an unexpected rise for a newly launched Nigerian production.
Additional data from Podstatus ranks “Love and Life Matters” as the top relationship podcast in Cape Verde, placing it at No. 1 in the Relationship Category and No. 3 in the Society and Culture Category.
Produced by Abraham Kuti, the podcast explores how technology is influencing modern relationships.
Kuti described the project as “a conversational, objective-style podcast that helps listeners reflect on real issues without feeling lectured or pressured by our personal views.”
Despite its early global success, Kuti said the production still navigates the usual hurdles faced by new creators.
“We are excited about the growth, but we are also dealing with the challenges that come with building a new media brand—sponsorship, audience expansion and long-term sustainability,” he said.
