Nigerian teenage striker, Samuel Omorodion, has seen his transfermarkt value soar in six months from 400,000 to €40m

Omorodion, 19, who was born to Nigerian parents in Spain, has netted nine goals and made an assist for Alaves in La Liga this season on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid signed the young striker for €6m from Granada last summer and since then his form and market value have steadily increased.

Omorodion hit the ground running when he joined Alaves on a season loan deal from Atletico Madrid who paid Granada €6m, his minimum release clause to sign him during the same window.

The 19-year-old Spanish-born player of Nigerian descent scored a consolation goal against his parent club on his LaLiga debut last August and has taken his tally to nine in 25 La Liga games since arriving at the Mendizorroza stadium.

Omorodion’s meteoric rise at Alaves has not gone unnoticed as teams from France and Italy made enquiries over his availability in January.
