Chief executive officer of Limateef Group, Ahmad Abubakar, has called on Nigerian youths to take up responsibilities in nation-building.
Abubakar, who disclosed this in a statement, said the youths in Nigeria and in the diaspora need to take up responsibilities not just in politics but also in nation- building.
He said, ‘‘No matter the barriers being faced, there is always a place for the youths. As the world advances and as the quest for leadership and nation-building increases, there has been a major involvement of youths in all spheres of national affairs. Youths in the Nigerian constitution refer to persons between ages 18 and 35. Youths are the building blocks of every developed nation. The stronger the youths of a country, the more developed that country.
‘‘In today’s era globalisation, youths are not only the partners of today but also the leaders of tomorrow. They are full of energy and enthusiasm to learn, act and achieve. They are the social actors who can perform to bring revolutionary changes and improvement in the society.
The participation of youths is a must to achieve any kind of future goals of prosperity, progress, peace and safety.
