Gabam declared the party’s support for the protest and called on security agencies to respond to Nigerians’ yearnings with civility. He highlighted that the struggle for a better Nigeria is a collective responsibility, regardless of political differences and dispositions.

The SDP appeals to every citizen joining the rallies to express their grievances peacefully, as they understand the importance of maintaining peace and unity in the country. They also urge security agencies to treat the protesters as fellow citizens, not enemies of the state

The SDP believes in the welfare and future of the country, and emphasises the shared responsibility of all for a better Nigeria.
