The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL) has commended the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, for his pivotal role in ensuring a peaceful and secure Christmas celebration across Nigeria.

In a statement, the coalition attributed the calm and safety during the festive season to the proactive measures and strategic coordination spearheaded by the Defence Chief and his team.

“Nigerians celebrated Christmas without any disturbances, thanks to the tireless efforts of our security agencies under the exemplary leadership of General Musa,” said Comrade Goodluck Ibem, President General of CONYL.

The youth coalition highlighted the successful operations led by the armed forces, which effectively neutralised threats that could have disrupted the season’s festivities.

They praised the collaboration among security agencies, noting that this synergy has been instrumental in dismantling terrorist networks and fostering national stability.

“The intelligence and strategic actions taken by our military ensured the safety of Nigerians during this critical period,” the statement read.

“These efforts demonstrate the unwavering commitment of our defence forces to protect lives and property.”

CONYL also recognised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to appoint General Musa as the Chief of Defence Staff.

According to the group, this move has enhanced coordination among security forces and improved the country’s overall security landscape.

“The President’s choice of General Musa has proven transformative, fostering unity among our security agencies and instilling confidence in their capabilities,” CONYL emphasised.

The coalition thanked military personnel and their families for their sacrifices, courage, and resilience.

They described their efforts as the bedrock of Nigeria’s freedom and security.

“We deeply appreciate the dedication of our armed forces, whose bravery in the face of danger ensures the peace we enjoyed during the yuletide season,” the statement noted.

As the nation moves forward, CONYL called for continued vigilance and collaboration among security agencies to sustain the progress achieved under General Musa’s leadership.

“We stand united in supporting the Chief of Defence Staff and our armed forces as they work tirelessly to ensure a safer and more secure Nigeria,” the coalition concluded.

This recognition from Nigeria’s youth underscores the critical role of leadership and coordinated efforts in achieving national stability, particularly during moments of heightened significance, such as the Christmas season.
