National chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Yusuf Mamman Dantalle has said despite the 25 years of uninterrupted democracy, Nigeria’s democracy is not where it should be.
Dantalle spoke in Abuja yesterday at the auditioning of IPAC movie-”Unbroken -Two and Half Decades” in Abuja.
He said while the country’s democracy was not where it ought to be, but certainly not where it used to be, with tremendous progress recorded so far, impact assessment is inevitable to embrace new democratic realities as a nation moving forward.
Accordingly, he said, IPAC is embarking on production of a documentary movie titled “UNBROKEN TWO AND HALF DECADES “ to highlight and project Nigeria’s governance achievements from 1999 to not only reflect local content but promote its brand image and products for local and international consumption.
He said apart from imbedding dialogues in the script to portray the quality of national polity and products, national principles and products would be projected through other strategic vantage points in the movie which will improve public perception.
“Unbroken two and half decades” is one hundred percent pro Nigeria and has been endorsed and approved by key stakeholders as a national mirror to reflect her positive narratives, he said adding that this is unprecedented being the first of its kind in the history of Nigerian movies and therefore, considered an outright sell out upon release into the global market.
“We are strategically promoting innovative conversations around our democratic journey in the last two and half decades using outstanding brands as symbolic images of public relations for national reorientation and rebranding,” he said.
