The statement said: “The Nigeria Immigration Service, under the leadership of its Comptroller General, KN Nandap, wishes to inform the general public, especially Nigerians in the Diaspora, that it has concluded plans to implement the next phase of the rollout” in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The Contactless Passport Application System, accessible via the NIS Mobile app on the Google PlayStore, allows Nigerians to renew their passports without visiting any Passport Centre for biometric enrollment.

The initiative aims to ease the passport renewal process for Nigerians abroad, eliminating long wait times and physical visits to consulates or embassies.

Reiterating its commitment to modernising service delivery, the NIS emphasised its dedication to providing efficient and innovative solutions for Nigerians worldwide. “The Service reiterates its commitment to innovative and efficient service delivery to Nigerians anywhere in the world,” the statement added.
