The Contactless Passport Application System, accessible via the NIS Mobile app on the Google PlayStore, allows Nigerians to renew their passports without visiting any Passport Centre for biometric enrollment.

The initiative aims to ease the passport renewal process for Nigerians abroad, eliminating long wait times and physical visits to consulates or embassies.

Reiterating its commitment to modernising service delivery, the NIS emphasised its dedication to providing efficient and innovative solutions for Nigerians worldwide. “The Service reiterates its commitment to innovative and efficient service delivery to Nigerians anywhere in the world,” the statement added.
