The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and its presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso yesterday fired back at national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, describing him as a liability who lacks the political clout to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his party in the 2027 polls.

NNPP alleged that it was only in Nigeria that a morally bankrupt and corrupt persons like can Ganduje can still be given relevance.

This is contained in a statement issued by national publicity secretary of the NNPP, Hon. Yakubu Shendam, reacting to the remarks credited to the APC national chairman in one of the national papers (not LEADERSHIP) in which he called Kwakwanso a serial loser.

But hitting back at Ganduje, NNPP alleged that the APC chairman is suffering from amnesia; otherwise he should know that he is the serial loser while kwankwaso is a serial election winner. With all the scandals surrounding him, he should not be taken serious by any right thinking Nigerians.

Shendam alleged that the scandals that surround Ganduje has done an irreparable damage to him, making him unable to deliver Tinubu and APC in 2027.

Noting that with Ganduje as head APC is already a dead party, the national publicity scribe said, “Take it or leave it, Ganduje is a liability to Tinubu, a liability to his party, APC, and a liability to the country, and I can bet with my life that with Ganduje as the national Chairman,  Pres. Bola Tinubu is going to loose the 2027 Presidential election, because Nigerians will not vote for him.

“Tinubu will regret working closely with a treacherous character like Ganduje. Sen. Kwankwaso made him deputy, MD Chad Basin and handed over to him in 2015. Yet he betrayed him and today, no governor trust their deputy governors to become governor.”

NNPP stated that Ganduje has never won election in his entire life except the one Kwankwaso delivered for him  as governor in 2015 on a platter of gold.

“Every Nigerian knows the story behind the only he claimed to have won in 2019. It was yet, another election he lost woefully, he added.

Shendam added that there is surely no hiding place for Ganduje, as his dollar stuffing video was in full display in Edo State where he went to campaign for the APC gubernatorial candidate two  years ago as the chairman of the APC election committee.

“The APC lost suffered a resounding defeat and a similar scenerio was repeated in Osun. He said hopefully in the coming governorship election in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa, the opposition parties will play the dollar stuffing video to help them win easily.

“We had it on record that Ganduje had to escape from the humiliation and embarrassment he was subjected to in the two states on account of his moral deficiency,” NNPP stated.

Kwakwanso who is the former governor of Kano State disclosed that he has contested election 17 times and won14 out of those times.

He said, “In the last 30 years, in addition to  all the elections he stood and won, the vast majority supported in the last 30 years all the candidates he has supported and won their respective elections except in 2019 presidential election.

“Out of these three times I lost, I came second to President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2014 APC Presidential primaries in Lagos.”

Shemdam also raised the alarm over what he described as attempt by Ganduje- led ruling APC to thwart the wishes of the people of Kano state.

He warned that their attempt to take Kano through the back door like in 2019 will be resisted by the good people of the state and judges of good conscience.
