New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Jigawa State has presented its flags to the party’s candidates for national and state assemblies from Jigawa Northwest zone and vowed to clean APC and PDP’s mess.

Speaking during the political rally and presentation of the flags held at the ancient city of Gumel , the state party chairman Alhaji Mukhtari Ibrahim Gwanga said, all the party’s candidates were chosen through democratic process.

“Our candidates were chosen based on merit, they are competent and capable, so if elected in the forthcoming general election they will help in turning round the state and country from its current quagmire to the path of peace and prosperity.

“Therefore, I am calling on people of Jigawa State and Nigeria to vote for NNPP candidates at all levels for cleaning the mess and atrocities committed by PDP and APC in the last 22 years,” he said.

In his speech during the occasion the NNPP gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim promised to operate an open and all-inclusive government if elected.

He said, Jigawa State is currently in a sorry state with increasing poverty and high rate of child and maternal mortality, therefore it requires collective effort to be rescued and delivered.

“But unfortunately, the kind of dictatorial and totalitarian system operated in the state has deterred it from attaining the dream of its founding fathers,” Aminu said.
