NNPP Suspends North Central Secretary

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has suspended its zonal secretary, North Central, Hon. Phillip Haruna, with immediate effect.

A statement issued by the party’s national publicity secretary, Hon. Yakubu Shendam, said the National Working Committee of the party at its meeting on Wednesday reached the decision in accordance with Article 39 of the party’s constitution on allegations of some wrongdoings  including gross misconduct  in contravention of the said Article 39.

“The suspension is to allow for proper investigations which have commenced into the allegations against him,” Shendam said. All efforts to reach Hon Phillip Haruna for his reaction proved abortive at the time of filling this report.
