For the past six years, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 10dollar Entertainment Groups, Muyiwa Otedola, has been operating lowkey in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
The producer, however, is coming to the limelight, with the recent release of 10dollar’s music label’s newest artistes, Queen Staphire, and Iboy MP; and an unveiling of several of the entertainment group’s brands, including the 10dollar show, 10dollar music, 10dollar entertainment and the 10dollar App.
Speaking to the media, Otedola who brings his twenty years’ experience of working in entertainment industry abroad, said he has supporting up-and-coming Nigerian artistes for the past six years, investing millions of naira in the local industry.
This time, through the official unveiling of 10dollar artistes, and his brands, he aims to spend millions of dollars in the industry, to ensure Nigerian artistes compete favourably with their foreign counterpart.
“I have supported several popular artistes in the industry and I have promoted, raised and exposed thousands of up-and-coming artistes to the spotlight through regular shows I organized.
“We will invest in songwriting, song promotion, branding, scriptwriting, production, directing, photography, editing and audiovisual.”
Meantime, 10dollar music label will drop the unveiled artistes’ singles on September 1, followed by promotions efforts.
