Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has shared an emotional video with her children on Facebook, opening up about the pain of being separated from them amid ongoing marital tensions with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
The video, posted late Monday night, showed Daniels speaking with her children via a video call as she presented them with gifts, including toys, clothes and shoes.
Her sons, Prince Munir Nwoko (Moon) and Prince Khalifa Nwoko (Kharly), were seen reacting excitedly to the presents.
In a touching moment, one of the children pleaded, “Mama, come back,” to which the actress responded, “I will come soon, OK.” The children also urged her, “Take care of us and yourself. I love you.”
The youngest son was heard crying, saying he wanted his clothes changed so he could go to his mother. “Mama, I want to change my clothes,” he said, crying.
Reflecting on the experience in the video caption, Daniels spoke about the emotional toll of being apart from her children.
“People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children. I chose not to allow that pain to define or imprison me, which is why it took time for me to walk away,” she wrote.
The actress also addressed her husband’s recent public posts featuring their children, following a video he shared on Sunday in which he said, “Sundays are for slowing down, reconnecting, and doing what truly matters. My family and I spent today doing the simple things that bring the most joy.”
Reacting to this, Daniels wrote, “The repeated public exposure of my children reflects a troubling and deliberate pursuit of negative attention by their father. It is implausible that a public figure, particularly one with legislative experience, would be unaware that posting our children publicly at this time would inevitably attract media scrutiny.
“These actions make it reasonable to question whether his behaviour is motivated by public engagement rather than parental responsibility.”
Regina Daniels said she had initially tried to remain silent to avoid further media attention but decided to speak out, revealing that “The last time I spoke to my kids was mid-November.”
Reaffirming her love and resolve as a mother, the actress added, “I am left to wonder whether I am truly such a threat that I am being challenged so aggressively. I may be young, but I am such a mum, I enjoy being a mum, and I miss being a mum. It’s so crazy if their father thinks I won’t come for my children. I will definitely see my kids soon!”
