The Department of State Services (DSS) kept mum last night over the reported arrest of chief executive of the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), Abbas Umar Masanawa.
Masanawa was reportedly arrested for his alleged role in the ongoing corruption probe of the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya did not respond to enquiries on the development when newsmen sought his comment. Masanawa was reported to have been arrested three weeks ago and has been in custody.
