Nollywood New Yam Festival To Take Place In Abuja

The 12th edition of the Nollywood New Yam Festival and Awards, now rebranded as the Nollywood Cultural Heritage Festival, will occur on November 1st and 2nd, 2024.

The event will be held at the Exhibition Pavilion, Area 11, Garki, Abuja, focusing on “The Role of African Women in the Preservation of African Culture.”

This year’s festival promises to be a monumental celebration of African culture, uniting Africans and the global community in a cultural exchange while highlighting the pivotal role of African women in preserving African heritage.

The Nollywood Cultural Heritage Festival is a prestigious event celebrating Africa’s vibrant culture, creativity, and traditions.

For over a decade, it has provided a platform for preserving, showcasing, and promoting African cultural values while recognising individuals who have contributed exceptionally to the artistic and creative sectors, particularly Nollywood.

Attendees can expect a diverse and engaging lineup of events celebrating African food, fashion, arts, and more, fostering a sense of unity and pride.

According to the organisers, some highlights of the event include cultural entertainment and showcases, a Pan-African food festival, the unveiling of the new Ambassador and Face of the Nollywood Cultural Heritage Festival, and a Youth Cultural Festival Arts Exhibition.
