All Progressives Congress (APC) North Central Forum (NCF) has warned Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia against what it termed “unworthy actions” that have been destabilising the party and the state.
The NCF also decried the governor’s alleged lack of respect for his political benefactor and other stakeholders.
Speaking with newsmen in Jos, the forum’s chairman, Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, said worst of all was that the governor failed to honour the peace initiatives organised by President Bola Tinubu to resolve the crisis in the Benue APC.
He said it was the height of disrespect for the president who is also the leader of the APC which is the platform on which the governor won the 2023 election.
Apart from that, Zazzaga said Alia also rejected all the attempts by stakeholders of the party, including federal legislators, the paramount ruler in the state, among others.
He said the fact that the governor from the onset began to disrespect and quarrel with his political benefactor and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, was an indication of his ungratefulness, and that is biting the fingers that fed him.
Zazzaga said the North Central APC would not fold its arms to allow the governor continue destabilising the party in the state, adding that if he doesn’t retrace his steps, several actions could be taken against him, which would be implemented accordingly.
