Chairman of the Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NCYP), Isaac Abrak, has called on Nigerian youths to take active roles in the country’s democratic process.

He spoke during a visit and an engagement in Abuja with the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa.

The NCYP chairman reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to mobilising Northern Christian youths toward constructive civic engagement, national unity and sustained support for policies that strengthen security and democratic governance in Nigeria.

Abrak described the minister as a committed and hardworking leader focused on ending banditry and terrorism in the country.

During the meeting, the Minister reportedly expressedinterest in the NCYP’s activities and progress.

Abrak briefed him on the organisation’s ongoing initiatives and its support for national development efforts.

The defence minister commended the NCYP for its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and charged members of the group, and indeed all Nigerians, to ensure they are duly registered to participate in the forthcoming elections.

According to Abrak, the minister stressed that voter registration and active participation in the electoral process remain critical civic responsibilities for consolidating ongoing security gains and sustaining national progress.

He emphasised that broad-based electoral participation would be instrumental in supporting the continued efforts of President Tinubu and Uba Sani to combat terrorism, restore peace, and return normalcy to affected communities.
