Governors of the 19 northern states have extolled the virtues of Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 57th birthday, describing him as a patriot and dependable ally with outstanding pedigree and exceptional competence.

In a statement issued by the chairman of Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the governors prayed God to continue to bless Shettima with more wisdom, good health and long life to keep serving the nation and humanity.

Felicitating with the vice president as he marked his birthday yesterday, the northern governors forum chairman said Shettima had continued to demonstrate commitment to his duties since he assumed office as vice president.

This is contained in a statement issued by director general, press affairs of Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli.

Governor Inuwa said; “Your illustrious career and political journey which saw you serve meritoriously as senator of the Federal Republic,  Governor of Borno State and also assuming the highly influential position of chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, afforded you the opportunity to make significant contributions towards the development and progress of not only your home state but the entire northern region and Nigeria at large.

“Since assuming the role of vice president of our great nation,  you have continued to demonstrate uncommon commitment to your duties. Your dedication to the wellbeing and prosperity of the Nigerian people is truly commendable, and your work ethic serves as an inspiration to many”.
