Northern Stakeholders Unite To Shape Better Future For Region

The Arewa 100% Focus Unity and Development Summit has brought together prominent leaders, influential youth, and stakeholders from the Northwest, North East, and North Central regions to chart a new path for the socio-economic and political rebirth of the region.

Convened by Hon. Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Sa’adu (Fakai), the summit emphasized the need for collective action to redirect the North’s trajectory towards growth and development.

The convener of the Arewa 100% Focus Unity and Development Summit, also highlighted the key focus areas of the recent summit held on Saturday in Kaduna.

Dr. Fakai, explained that the Arewa Summit emphasized the need to strengthen traditional institutions, which play a vital role in shaping the region’s identity and fostering unity. By leveraging the influence and wisdom of traditional leaders, the region can promote social cohesion, resolve conflicts, and advance collective development goals. This approach recognizes the significance of traditional institutions in preserving cultural heritage and promoting unity among diverse communities in the region.

Participants at the summit also emphasized the importance of empowering the youth and driving development in Arewa through education reform. By prioritizing education, the region can unlock the potential of its youth and equip them with the skills needed to drive progress.

Promoting peace and security was another key area of focus for the summit. Participants recognized the need to create a conducive environment for growth and development by addressing security challenges and promoting peace.

The summit also highlighted the need for economic diversification and empowerment to reduce poverty and improve living standards in the region. By fostering economic growth and development, the region can create opportunities for its citizens and improve their livelihoods.

Dr. Fakai further highlighted that the summit also focused on Empowering the Youth and driving development in Arewa through education reform. By prioritizing education, the region can unlock the potential of its youth and equip them with the skills needed to drive progress.

The  Arewa 100% focus group summit was graced by the presence of notable figures such as Senator Abdullaziz Abubakar Yari, Chairman of the Occasion, and Kashim Ibrahim Imam, Grand Patron of Arewa 100% Focus.

 

Other dignitaries in attendance included Rev. Stephen Panya, Vice President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Alh. Bashir Dalhatu (WaZirin Dutse), Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), and Rt. Hon. Satomi Ahmad, FNSE, Co-founder of the summit. The event also featured insightful panel discussions with experts such as Dr. Nura Bello, Paul Unongo A., Hon. Zainab Galadima Buba, Hon. Sheriff Yusuf Banki, and Dr. Yasmin Aisha Zakari.

 

Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, former Zamfara State Governor, emphasized the need for collective action to overcome the region’s challenges. “This gathering is not just another event; it is a call to action for all stakeholders in Northern Nigeria to forge a new path anchored on unity, development, and economic resilience,” he stated.
