Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is optimistic Nottingham Forest will escape relegation at the end of the season.
With six more games to play in the league, the Tricky Trees currently occupy 17th position on the EPL log table and will face tough games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea and Manchester City before the season ends.
Forest have also been hit with a four-point deduction for breaching profit and sustainability rules which has affected their position on the log.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have already appealed the verdict and the outcome of their appeal might eventually determine their fate.
However, despite all the odds against Forest, versatile defender Ola Aina is confident that his team will escape relegation.
Speaking with Nottingham Post, he said: “I don’t see the team going down.
“We’ve had a difficult season by our standards, but I very much expect us to improve in our next game.
“More importantly, it’s about playing well and trying to get a result to stay up.”
Ola Aina has made 17 league appearances for Nottingham Forest
this season, scoring one goal and providing an assist.
The team is currently above Luton Town in 18th on goal difference and are 2 and 4 points away from Brentford and Everton respectively.
