The port manager, Tin Can Island Port, Abubakar Sani, has assured Maritime Workers Union Of Nigeria (MWUN), of unalloyed synergy to move the sector forward.

Sani disclosed this when the president general of MWUN, Com. Adewale Adeyanju, paid him a courtesy visit in Lagos, recently.

The port manager who also received the management team of Tin Can Island Container Terminal (TICT), assured that he would build on the good foundations laid by previous Port Managers of the Tin Can Island complex.

He further observed that hardworking and eminent managers had worked in the Port in the past, assuring that he would follow in their foot path and also do all that is within his powers to exceed expectations of stakeholders and the general public.

The port manager who also visited all the terminals within Tincan assured the operators that his previous knowledge of the Tincan Island Port having started his career in NPA at the port would go a long way to ease his job and also propel him to ground breaking achievements.

Speaking, the managing Director of TICT, Etiene Rocher, commended Port concessioning, saying a lot of things have been achieved through concessioning.
