The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has expressed its profound sadness and offered condolences on the death of Alhaji Sani Zubairu, the President of the Nigeria Referees Assistant (NRA).

Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, Chairman of the NPFL, extended his sympathies to Mr. Zubairu’s immediate family, the NRA, and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Speaking on behalf of the NPFL Board and its clubs, Mr. Elegbeleye highlighted the significant contributions of the late retired FIFA referee to the growth and development of Nigerian football, particularly within the league.
