Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, believes his side deserved at least a point from the matchday 20 fixture against holders Enyimba.
The Oluyole Warriors went down to a 1-0 defeat against the People’s Elephant in Aba on Saturday.
Ogunbote blamed the loss on carelessness on the part of the team.

“The game has been won and lost, we will take the positives. Be it as it may, sometimes, you give it your all but you don’t get the desired result, at worse, we deserve a point from this game,” he told the club’s media.

“We were careless with the goal we conceded today, it’s a situation we could have avoided.
“Sometimes, it happens like that in the game. We will go back home, pick up the pieces and let’s see what happens.”
Despite the defeat, Ogunbote is confident his team will get things right in the second stanza of the season.

“This is the first game, we still have about 18 games in the second stanza, all we need to do is to see what we needed to do that we didn’t do right in this game, and once we get that done, I’m sure we will get it right,” he added.
