The NPFL have rescheduled the matchday 34 tie involving Akwa United and Heartland FC from Sunday, June 2nd to Monday June 3rd.

The encounter will hold at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

NPFL head of Operations Davidson Owumi stated that the change in date became necessary due to the approval of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium to host a Charity Match in honour of William Troost-Ekong’s Foundation on Sunday, June 2nd.

The league organizers appeal to relevant stakeholders to ensure adequate logistics are provided for the successful hosting of the match.

The NPFL however regret any inconvenience the shift in date may have caused the fans of the clubs.
Akwa United and Heartland are battling to escape relegation from the top-flight this season.
